The season is a week away, the nerves have started and everyone is looking forward to the training time finally being over and the racing starting in earnest. This weekend the riders of the Biketreks Racing Academy came together for the final time for their third bootcamp. A chance to fine tune the relationships between the riders of the teams and to practice the drills that they’ll need for the big races only a few weeks away.
The session was led by Jon Taylor of Bike & Body who put the riders through a testing sequence of racing drills: bottle collection; wheel changes, sprint leadouts. The three squads worked together, building a great team bond.
With the last sprint train finished, the teams headed to a relaxed afternoon at the Wigan DW Stadium for food and a final wind down. Next weekend the Women’s Development Squad head to Rhyll for their first race together as a team and U23 and Junior Squads head to the Clayton Spring Classic.

Credits to Jon Taylor (Bike&Body) for a successful day around Pimbo.
